I have been riding horses for over 20 years, and teaching for more than 10. I grew up riding Western Pleasure at my neighborhood barn in West Nyack, New York. As a kid, I always dreamed of owning my own horse. I began teaching lessons at the age of 15 under the mentorship of my trainer, Lisa Owen, and my passion for teaching others only grew from there.
At 17, I moved to California and began riding Hunter/Jumper with All About Horses in Huntington Beach. Since then, I have dabbled in almost every discipline under the sun (Dressage, Vaulting, Barrel Racing, Reining, even Jousting!).
I value a well-rounded horse education and have been to clinics all over the country with trainers of different disciplines. I firmly believe you can always learn more!
I believe the horse comes first, always. I hold myself to a high ethical standard, both in my equine management and business practices. Many of my horses have been adopted from poor situations or low-end auctions, and I strive to improve their lives in every way that I can, while also offering affordable lessons to others like me with a passion for horses.
If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
Casino (b. June 29, 2020) was the first horse Madison ever purchased. She purchased him at the age of 6 moths with the desire to bring along a horse from the ground up.
Clover is an older mare who now enjoys her retirement in pasture. While she was a lesson horse, she was the barn favorite and made an impact on many lives.
Juniper is an approx. 12 year old chestnut RPSI mare. She was purchased at auction as a nervous, reactive horse and has since blossomed into a beautiful, confident jumper.
Rhett is around 15 years old and was purchased by Madison after finding his ad for $500. He was initially afraid of people, as he had not been handled in years, but is now a wonderful schoolmaster for any child.
Mo is a 24yr old Irish Thoroughbred, imported from France. His race name is Terroplane (you can see his race history here). After many successful years on the track, he went on to have an equally successful jumper career.
Ace is 13 yrs old and our newest lesson horse. He was previously a reining horse and is now enjoying an easier life teaching students how to canter and preform some more intricate western moves.
